Commercial Property photography -Toronto Private Hospital

Sometimes, being a photographer is all about patience. In this case it was about having the patience to wait until there were no patients in shot.

Although briefed at short notice, Matt was able to move things around to get these important photos taken for an investment portfolio. Something had happened to the original photographer, throwing the hospital’s plans into disarray, so we did our best to fill the void. We understand how many things hinge on the images from a photoshoot and the behind the scenes work that goes into preparing, so we’re always conscious of making reliability our top priority.

When it comes to sensitive spaces like healthcare, respecting people’s privacy is paramount, so we ensured not to take any photos showing nurses, doctors or patients. At times that meant waiting for some time until lounge areas, hallways and carparks were empty of people.

Knowing that these images were for an investment portfolio, we thought it was important to give investors a broad sense of the property within it’s surroundings including showing the following aspects:

• Proximity to the water and other desirable landmarks

• Ample parking spaces

• A bird’s eye view of the building showing main arterial roads and surroundings

• How well equipped the various rooms and wards are

• Relaxed feel of the gardens

A large number of these images are now being used by the hospital management and by the investment group.
